A Master [Bathroom] Design

I have been stuck on the design for our master bathroom since we started our build. Behind the kitchen, I feel like this is a room with the most choices to be made. Floor tile. Shower tile. Tub. Sinks. Faucets. Hardware. Cabinets. Light fixtures. Making sure all the selections work together is harder than it sounds.

There are so many pieces of different bathrooms that I have fallen in love with on Pinterest, but they do not quite all talk to each other. Finding a way to marry dark and moody and light and airy remains my challenge.

For our color palette, I decided to stick mainly with white, black and gray.

I ended up (I think) going with the tile you see below for our master shower. Black floor. Marble wall. Black and white accent wall. For me, selecting shower tile is where I have felt the most lost. Even though you see a finished look below, I am still not sure if this is where I will land.

Our bathroom flooring will be big, concrete-looking tile. Our walls will be white. For cabinetry, I plan on mixing paint and stain with white upper cabinets and stained lower cabinets. My inspiration behind the cabinets was Amber Interiors Design Studio. All of her work is drool-worthy, but these cabinets are one of my favorites. I am going do my best to pull off this same look for our bathroom.

What I am most looking forward to in this space is our free-standing tub. Our last build just had a big shower, so this will be a spa-like treat for this momma. Our tub will have a chandelier above it as well, so I would like it to be a moment of drama in our bathroom. I am unsure about the exact light fixture we will go with. I do not know if I want more black or to pop in brass here. What would be your vote? Pictured below is a fixture I love from Serena & Lily.

I do plan to have a pop of color here and there. I already purchased this runner from Wayfair, and I might find some additional wall art to pull in color.

That is the plan right now. I expect more changes as I go back and forth, but our timeline is running out. We hope to be finished with construction by the end of April, so there is only so much time to change my mind (and only so much patience from my homebuilder husband for change orders).
